Regional Youth Council (RYC)
The Regional Youth Council (RYC) exists to support, strengthen, and lead the youth ministry of the region through spiritual leadership, servant ministry, event planning, relationship building, and faithful representation of youth across the region.
The council serves as a youth-led, adult-supported ministry that empowers young people to discover and use their gifts for leadership in the church and the world.
The Regional Youth Council consists of 12-16 Youth Representatives, and 3-6 Adult Representatives.
Youth representatives are typically rising Juniors (Rising Sophomores may apply, but rising Juniors will be given first priority.) Youth serve a two-year term with the possibility of a third year when appropriate.
Adult representatives serve staggered three-year terms whenever possible to provide continuity, mentorship, and leadership development within the council.

2026 Fall Youth Retreat
Our new Regional Youth Council is so excited about our Fall Youth Retreat, for all youth in Grades 6-12.
It is Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, at Camp Piomingo (1950 Otter Creek Park Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108).
Our Keynoter will be the Rev. Allison Lanza, the Founder of Be the Neighbor: Justice-Based Learning and Serving Trips.
Our RYC has planned a great weekend of worship, games, food, and lots of fun. Registration is $100 a person and is submitted through your church. We do ask that you have a 1 to 7 adult to youth ratio. If your church can’t find adult chaperones, please reach out and we will see what we can do!

Regional Youth Ministries
The Christian Church in Kentucky has a vital program for youth throughout the region of Kentucky. We offer chances for youth to be involved in a Fall Youth Retreat, Spring Lumber Jack/Jane/ Work Retreat Weekends at both of our beautiful camp sites and Summer Church Camp.

Is Your Youth Group Going on a Mission Trip?
Would you like some help with that Mission Trip? The Christian Church in Kentucky offers up to 10 Youth Mission Trip Partnership Grants. The form, below, needs to be turned in at least two months prior to your Mission Trip. The First Ten Churches who apply are considered first. For a Domestic Mission Trip you can get up to $250 and for an International Mission Trip you can get up to $500. All we ask is that you send us some stories and pictures for our website and other media forms. Only 10 grants are available each year. Start planning now!
