Greg Alexander – CCK General Minister

Greg was called by the CCK Board as Associate Minister in 1992 and as General Minister in 2006. He has oversight responsibility for the implementation of the vision and mission of CCK through its programs, staff and administration. Linda Jones – CCK Associate Regional Minister

Linda was called by the CCK Board in 2002. Linda’s portfolio includes Treasurer, Ministry with Disciples Women, Assembly Program Committee, Budget and Funds Committee, Editor of The Kentucky Christian, and serving as district minister for districts 4, 7 and 8. Lon Oliver – CCK Associate Regional Minister for Kentucky Appalachian Ministries (KAM)

Lon was called by the CCK Board Board in 2001. In addition to serving as the Director of KAM, Lon is a staff consultant to Disciples Home Missions (DHM) and the Executive Director of the Appalachian Ministry Educational Resource Center. Lon’s ministry with CCK includes the Committee on the Ministry, the CCK Ministers School, Social Justice Advocacy, and serving as district minister for districts 10 and 11. Lon’s professional interests include anti-racism and reconciliation advocacy, contextual education, and rural ministry. Lon is a bi-vocational member of the CCK staff. Lon’s email: lon@ccinky.net

 

Cathy Hubbard – CCK Associate Regional Minister for the West Area

Cathy was called by the West Area Board in 2010. Cathy serves as the area minister for the 49 churches in districts 1,2,3 which make up the CCK West Area. Mike McColl – Minister for Youth and Young Adult Ministries

Mike began his ministry in November, 2010. Mike is a part-time CCK associate minister serving as staff consultant to the Youth Ministry and Young Adult Cabinet (YMYAC) and to the Outdoor Ministries Board (OMB). Mike’s email: mike@ccinky.net

 

 

Carol Devine – Editor of the Red Mile and Minister of Green Chalice

Carol began her ministry with CCK in May of 2011. She is a contract staff member responsible for editing CCK’s bi-monthly e-newsletter, the Red Mile. Carol is also a shared staff person with Disciples Home Missions as the Minister for Green Chalice. Green Chalice was a ministry began by CCK that grew into a partnership ministry with DHM and is now the Disciples’ official creation care ministry. Dave Carr – Staff Consultant to the Committee on the Ministry

Dave began his ministry with CCK in September of 2011. He is contract staff member responsible for staff oversight of the Committee on the Ministry. A special note: At the 2009 General Assembly a new Ordering of Ministry was voted in by the assembly delegates with implementation to begin by October of 2011. The Committee on the Ministry has been working diligently to make the necessary policy changes to be in compliance with the new Ordering of Ministry. This is a huge undertaking. In addition to his consulting role with the COM he will serve as liaison between the COM and the whole Region in interpreting these policy changes and how they will effect the calling and preparing of commissioned and ordained ministry candidates.
