Regional Board Nominations Open

Beginning with the 2021-2022 biennium, Regional Board membership will match the structure approved by the called regional assembly in Glasgow in August 2019. The Commission on Nominations will meet on March 14, 2020, to prepare a slate of officers and board members for election at the 2020 Regional Assembly in Owensboro.

The Commission on Nominations is now calling for your nominations for the At-Large members who will populate the Board for the 2020-2022 term. The ideal person for the Regional Board is someone committed to the work and witness of the Christian Church in Kentucky, willing to commit to attending as many meetings as possible (at least 3 in a biennium), and eager to help advance the work of the Region. The Regional Board of the Christian Church in Kentucky is both a business management board and a strategic visioning board. In recent years, this group of committed individuals has worked on projects such as Camp Visioning, Calling a Search Team, Restructure, and identifying a new vision for CCK.

All nominations will be considered by the Commission on Nominations at their March meeting. The proposed 2020-2022 Board will then be submitted for approval of the current Board and the 2020 Regional Assembly.

Not everyone who is nominated will be selected to serve. The Commission on Nominations will work diligently to compose a Board that meets the parameters of the Constitution and represents the depth and breadth of the Christian Church in Kentucky.

Nominations must be submitted electronically by Friday, March 6, 2020.
