Holmes Installed as Pastor at Stamping Ground
Stamping Ground Christian Church gathered in worship and celebration on September 22 for the installation of Rev. Rachele Royale Holmes as pastor. Rev. Dean Phelps, interim regional minister, presided at the installation service and offered the morning message in both word and song.
The installation service was the start of a busy day for the congregation. That afternoon, they hosted a concert and cookout at Buffalo Square Park in Stamping Ground, featuring Seven Shades of Soul.
Rev. Holmes previously served Victory Christian Church in Lexington. Stamping Ground Christian Church is one of four Disciples of Christ congregations located in Scott County. They are connected to First Christian Church, Owenton, by Kentucky Highway 227.
