Youth Outreach provides funding, money, for several ministries offered through the Regional church. Youth Groups and individual youth give money to Youth Outreach throughout the year. Since 2000, youth have given an average of $7,000 each year. Money supporting YO ministries typically is given during the summer camp season through Youth Outreach Offerings. So what does Youth Outreach support?
Youth Group Partnership Grants - $250 per group
Kentucky youth groups do a great job helping others through mission or work trips. Groups have helped with hurricane relief in Florida, built porches and painted walls in eastern Kentucky, served meals to the homeless and learned about at risk youth in the inner city of Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, and Cincinnati.
A portion of the total dollars given to Youth Outreach are set aside to fund partnership grants. Youth groups can apply to recieve a grant for $250 to help fund a mission or work trip. Download an application form to apply for a partnership grant for this year.
Youth Ministry Program Support
We offer many opportunties for Disciple youth, Chi Rho and CYF, to get together through events like Triennium, CYFX, and the Chi Rho Regional Event [new name to be announced spring '05]. These weekend hotel events feature worship, workshops, and service. Yes, these events cost a little money to offer, so to help keep them affordable Youth Outreach provides money to support these weekend experiences.
A major part of our weekend events is mission work. This year all Chi Rho age youth are invited to Bowling Green, November 11-13, for the first Chi Rho only weekend.
