Reconciliation Offering Information
The Reconciliation Offering supports the Disciples priority of becoming an “Anti-Racist/Pro-Reconciling Church.” Fifty-percent of all the money given by Kentucky Disciples goes to support this denominational priority. The other fifty-percent is returned to CCK for our ongoing work in becoming an anti-racist/pro-reconciling region.

Please give generously to this offering to help us tear down the walls that divide us and find new ways to become one in Jesus Christ.

SERF Reconciliation and Anti-Racism Ministry
In 2008, The Christian Church In Kentucky joined with the seven other regions of the Southeast Regional Fellowship (SERF) to create a shared staff person to assist each region in its efforts to become an anti-racist/pro-reconciling region. Rev. Sekinah Hamlin was called as the SERF Minister of Reconciliation and Anti-Racism.

In 2010, two of the SERF regions were no longer financially able to sustain their participation in this ministry. As a result a new covenant was forged in 2011 by the six SERF regions. Rev. Hamlin will continue to consult with these six regions in the areas of reconciliation and anti-racism but on an “as needed and fee-based” covenant.
